The "Cajun Sensation" Jason Johnson joined Fred Rahmer as winners during the 46th annual Knoxville Nationals on Thursday night. The Eunice, LA driver took the second night of action with a win over Tim Kaeding in the A-Feature.
Johnson, started fourth and led the final 18 laps en route to his first 410 win of the year.
Jason Meyers, Kaley Gharst, pole-sitter Brian Paulus and Wayne Johnson rounded out the top six.
After damaging the front end on his No. 9 car in the second heat race, Joey Saldana charged from the 22nd starting position in the feature to finish seventh.
Kerry Madsen, Paul McMahan and Terry McCarl completed the top 10.
Donny Schatz leads the Nationals points standings with 484. Craig Dollansky is two points behind in second with Joey Saldana (474), Jason Meyers (473) and Fred Rahmer (472) rounding out the top five.
The 46th annual Knoxville Nationals will continue on Friday.
The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway is a semi-banked 0.4-mile oval. The track record of 11.880 seconds was established by Jeff Shepard on October 6, 2001.
