A look at some NASCAR Sprint Cup facts and figures at Michigan International Speedway as the series gets ready to run Sunday's LifeLock 400.
0 - Current Sprint Cup points leader, Kyle Busch, has had zero wins, poles, and top fives at Michigan International Speedway (in six career starts there). 1 - Cale Yarborough was the first winner at Michigan, and Donnie Allison won the first pole there. 2 - There have been two races per season at Michigan since 1969, for the exception of only one race in 1973. 3 - Bobby Labonte and Davey Allison have each won at MIS three times. 4 - Greg Biffle has four top fives, six top 10s, and two victories. 5 - Five of the past seven Michigan race winners have started out of the top 10. 6 - Carl Edwards has had six top 10s, four top fives, and one win in seven starts. 7 - Bill Elliot has been a race winner seven times at Michigan. 8 - Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has the eighth-most Laps in the Top 15, with 792 laps. (Number of laps that driver was within the top 15 drivers.) 9 - David Pearson holds the winning race record with nine wins. 10 - David Pearson also holds the record for the most poles, with 10. 11 - The Wood Brothers hold the record with the most team/owner wins at MIS, with 11 wins within the organization. Their last win there was with Dale Jarrett in 1991. 15 - There have been 15 events where the pole winner at Michigan has also gone on to win the race. 17 - Seventeen different drivers have won at Michigan International Speedway. 28 - The 28th starting position is the furthest back in the field where a driver has come to win the race. (Tony Stewart, 2000) 29 - Twenty-nine different drivers have won at Michigan. 38 - There have been 38 different pole winners at MIS, and 18 of those winners have won more than one pole. 61 - Sixty-one of the 77 races at Michigan have been won from a top-10 starting position. 78 - This Sunday's race will mark the 78th race at Michigan. 112.3 - Carl Edwards has a 112.3 Driver Rating, the highest at MIS. (Driver Rating is determined from the combining the following categories: Wins, Finishes, Top-15 Finishes, Average Running Position While on Lead Lap, Average Speed Under Green, Fastest Lap, Led Most Laps, Lead-Lap Finish.) 194.232 - Ryan Newman holds the track's Qualifying Record of 194.232mph (37.069 seconds, 6/18/05).
