Carl Edwards knows the only way to catch Jimmie Johnson in the championship chase is to win races.
Edwards did just that on Sunday after he took his first checkered flag in the Chase in Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Pep Boys Auto 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Overall, Roush Racing and Hendrick Motorsports held eight of the top twelve spots at the end of this past weekend's race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Most notable were Roush's Carl Edwards, finishing first, scoring 119.8 fantasy points and Matt Kenseth, finishing fourth, scoring 108.8 fantasy points.
Jimmie Johnson dug out of a hole, after getting the black flag for speedway on pit road, to finish second overall and scored 92.8 points for fantasy players. Teammate Jeff Gordon held on to a top ten position, finishing 9th and scoring 76 points.
Roush Racing and Hendrick Motorsports current drivers top the rest with a combined 6 wins at next week's race at Texas Motor Speedway.
