CONCORD, N.C. - Steve Kinser responded to the rumors that he's signed on, along with Tony Stewart Racing, to a new Sprint Car Series in 2010.
The new series is rumored to run in the Midwest with Hoosier tires after Goodyear signed on as the new tire with the World of Outlaws.
While gearing up for tonight's race at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway, Kinser said he's not committed to another series for next season.
"I'm just hearing stuff you know," Kinser said. "Somebody said Danny (Lasoski) was on a radio show and said I was going to run in some of that stuff. There's no truth in any of that.
"I have not talked to Tony. I know nothing about it. Just the rumors everyone else is hearing."
Kinser raced with the National Sprint Tour in 2006 and finished second in the standings, but he would like to return next season with the Outlaws where he's won 20 championships.
"Right now my plans are to get everything confirmed up and come back and run the World of Outlaws like I have in every year but two," Kinser said. "I really don't know what I'm doing next season. I've got to look and see what my budget is and what's going on and where I'm racing, you know with my age and stuff. I still enjoy racing. When I race, I want to race 100%."
After the conclusion of the World Finals, Kinser will undergo neck surgery on Tuesday.
The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway is a semi-banked 0.4-mile oval. The track record of 11.880 seconds was established by Jeff Shepard on October 6, 2001.
