Since attending his first NASCAR race in 1992 at Michigan International Speedway, Managing Editor Jeff Wackerlin knew he wanted to follow a career path in motorsports. After graduating from Northern Illinois University in 2000, Jeff was lucky enough to land a job at RacingOne, where he started off as an intern.
After working in the RacingOne offices in both Chicago and Charlotte, Jeff became the senior editor in 2005 and moved to Daytona Beach, home of the "Great American Race."
As Managing editor, Jeff is responsible for all aspects of the website. As a big fan of fantasy racing, every week Jeff writes the Driver Handicaps to keep the readers informed of each driver's chances and experience at the upcoming race.
In addition to his daily duties at RacingOne, Jeff travels to many of the NASCAR races throughout the season, giving fans up-to-the-minute news, photos and highlights from the race weekends.
Outside of the office, Jeff is an avid Chicago Cubs fan. In the offseason Jeff enjoys making the trip back home to go snowmobiling in Wisconsin.
