Justin Allgaier captured his first win in his first full season of ARCA RE/MAX Series racing in 2006 at his hometown track, the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield. The young driver went on to finish 10th in the point standings.
He first raced in ARCA in 2002.
Allgaier's career started in sprint cars and midgets. He is notably the youngest driver, at age 14, who advanced to the A-Main event at the Chili Bowl in Tulsa, Okla. in 2001. He also is a five-time national quarter midget champion from 1993 to 1998 with over 100 feature wins.
In 2008, Allgaier won a season-high six races en route to winning the ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship.
After racing four NASCAR Nationwide races in 2008, Allgaier will drive the No. 12 Verizon Dodge with Penske Racing during the 2009 Nationwide season.
