2004: Advanced to two final rounds, winning the Summit Racing Equipment Southern Nationals (Atlanta); collected two No. 1 qualifying positions (Topeka & Chicago 2) for a career total of 29; first driver in the 4.40s (Chicago 2) since the rule change to 85-percent nitro at Seattle; No. 7 in points, posting 13th top-10 finish.
2003: Advanced to two final rounds including season-opening K&N Filters Winternationals; recorded career-best performances in time and speed; posted 12th top 10 points finish, and eighth finish in top five.
2002: Qualified No. 1 at Indianapolis; Won Pomona 2 on a holeshot.
2000: Finished in the top 10 of the NHRA championship Top Fuel point standings for the 10th consecutive season; Won back-to-back national events at Houston and Dallas.
1999: Claimed a Top Fuel victory at Indianapolis.
1998: Finished second in the Top Fuel point standings for the fourth time; Equaled a career best by winning six races, including four of the first six events of the season.
1997: Became the first driver in NHRA history to exceed 320 mph with a pass of 321.77 at Dallas; Won six events, including four consecutive races (Denver, Sonoma, Seattle and Brainerd) during the summer.
1996: Won three national events for the second consecutive season; Won at Indianapolis for the first time.
1995: Won three national events, including back-to-back titles at Atlanta and Memphis
1994: Advanced to the final round at the final three national events, capturing the title in Topeka; Made the transition from team owner/driver to just handling the driving duties.
1993: Missed four races because of serious burns on face and hands as the result of a crash at Rockingham Dragway and still finished sixth in the Top Fuel point standings; Qualified No. 1 seven times.
1992: First driver in NHRA history to run in the 4.70s with a pass of 4.799 at Reading; Finished only 92 points behind Top Fuel champion Joe Amato despite not competing at Montreal.
