2007: Retired as Gary Scelzi’s crew chief and joined John Force Racing as the team’s fourth driver; Made career debut at Las Vegas 2 and qualified seventh; lost first round to Jeff Arend; Qualified 10th at Pomona 2 and lost first round to Mike Ashley.
1993-2007: The longtime tuner reached the top of his crew chief profession in 2005 when he tuned the Mopar/Oakley Dodge Charger driven by Gary Scelzi to the POWERade Series Funny Car world championship; He first joined forces with Scelzi in 2003 and they had a breakout year in 2004, winning three times, earning a third-place finish in the final points standings and recording the first 330-mph run in Series history; Before joining Don Schumacher Racing, Neff had tuned cars for Larry Minor Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing.
