The 36th and final race of the season was run this past Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Just as he did eight previous times, Carl Edwards ran away and dominated the field in fashion. Another top fantasy points scoring day and nine wins on the season makes Carl Edwards the 2009 RacingOne Fantasy League Player of the Year!
Not to be out down was Jimmie Johnson, who on Sunday was crowned the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion. Jimmie ended the season with seven wins but Sunday was not his best overall performance as he finished 15th, 64.6 fantasy points. Teammate Jeff Gordon ended the season on a high note. He battled at times for the lead and finished fourth, 87.6 fantasy points.
A congratulations are also definitely in order for Kid Nascar from the RacingOne Fantasy League. The team from Winston Salem, N.C. battled all season long and fought his way into the top 10. Once there, Kid Nascar found himself quickly at the top of the leaderboard!
