History
Kentucky Speedway was the only superspeedway in the United States to open in the year 2000. The $152 million dollar state-of-the-art facility, developed and co-owned by Jerry Carroll sits on 1,000 acres of land with 97 acres within the tri-oval. The track hosted the NASCAR All Pro Series and the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on its inaugural weekend. Kentucky Speedway attracted 300,000 fans in its inaugural year and set stand-alone event attendance records for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (63,760) and IndyCar Series (61,214).
